Wednesday afternoon - Dragon boat racing

The sky is blue, the sun is shining and the water sparkling. Perfect for dragon boat racing.

Everyone took part in the races. We were divided into 2 teams for 2 boats. We raced against each other and other schools.

First we had to get life jackets on and find a paddle.

We were arranged in pairs and learnt a few basic instructions and movements.

On the jetty we had to do a role call.

Then, sadly one of our party was sent away for inappropriate dress...

Any ideas who?

We paddled really well.  Group 1 won all their races!

Group 2 worked really hard.

There were lots of excited comments as people left the jetty. It was GREAT fun.

It's a good job the sun is shining  - it will help dry the wet shoes and trousers.
